Mine with miners flooded in China

In China, an accident occurred at one of the coal mines in Hutubi County (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region). According to China’s state news agency Xinhua, the mine was flooded, resulting in a power outage. The accident happened on Saturday.

At the time of the accident, there were 29 miners in the coal mine. According to Xinhua, 8 people have already been rescued and 21 are trapped. According to the Chinese press, 12 miners have been found and will be rescued, 9 more people have not been found. Rescue work continues.

China’s mines are considered the most dangerous in the world, with frequent fatal accidents. So, in January, 10 gold miners were killed in an explosion in a mine in Shandong province, and in December 23 miners were killed in a mine in Chongqing.
