Loblaw Launches Online Marketplace

Loblaw Companies on Thursday introduced a new online marketplace that will include brands and products it has not sold to date.

The online marketplace will include new suppliers, whose products will be available through Loblaw’s PC Express service.

The retailer said the third-party companies would be introduced into five expanded categories at launch.

According to Loblaw, the offerings will go beyond its current in-store selections and include brands like Umbra and Lennox Furniture.

The new products will include additional items for the baby, toy, home, kitchen and pet categories.

The products will be delivered directly to the house or available for pick up in store. Purchasing them would also earn points from Loblaw’s loyalty program, PC Optimum.

“Millions of Canadians visit our stores and online stores every week, looking for inspiration and convenient access to food, home and health products,” said in a statement on Loblaw customer manager, Garry Senecal.

“With this expanded offering from PC Express, we will provide them with a selection of selected products that will add to their existing store, from exciting new suppliers.”
